Imagine my surprise when I received a message from The Akron Beacon Journal saying they wanted to write an article about my craft night parties! It really was all thanks to Layla at The Lettered Cottage. She featured a couple of my blog articles with her readers and the word spread! The date was set for November 12th, and I needed a craft pronto! I had seen these amazing, rustic and wooden snowflakes at a craft fair I went to. While they were beautiful, they were too expensive for my budget. I knew I had found the next craft!
I spent the next week cutting all the pieces of wood that were necessary for each snowflake. 40 friends had RSVP'd for two nights so I had 1080 cuts to make! It was worth it in the end! Each person that came was able to decide how they wanted to finish their own, either painted solid white, stained brown or a mix of both creating a rustic and weathered effect!
While I am a crafter, I am not a writer, so I will let you read all about our night in Mary Beth's words! Her Akron Beacon Journal article described our evenings perfectly!
